Mark’s POV
When I finally got back to school, it had been about a week. I went to homeroom and Felix, Bob, and Wade jumped up to greet me.
“Hey buddy! How’re you doing?” Bob was a nice friend. It's sad I didn't have many classes with the guy; he took mostly honors classes.
   “I’m good.”
“Hello Mark! Are you goin’ to be alive for a bit longer?” Wade was the funny guy of the group; I had a few classes with him.
   “Hopefully.”
“How’s it goin’ bro?” Felix was one of my newest friends, but he was just as close as Bob and Wade to me.
“Good. It's good to be back!” Wait, why am I narrating everything inside my head? Oh well, it's not like anyone's reading my thoughts… I sat down with my friends and started small talking about things that’ve happened when I was gone.
“Everyone, this is the new transfer student I’ve told you about!” I look up to see Mrs. Samantha, our teacher, talking; during all of our talking, my friends didn't mention a new student…
   No…
   What the fuck?!?
“Mark? You okay?” Felix whispered worriedly.
   “I am not okay.”
“Do you need to go to the nurse?!” Felix was worried about me; I have quality friends.
   “N-no, it's just- I had a hallucination after the surgery… and…”
   “And what?!”
“This guy was in it, except…”
“Mark Fishback and Felix Kjellberg, stop whispering to each other, please.”
I stopped talking and looked up; I verified that he was the same person again. A boy my age, brown hair with a green floof on top and some of the bluest eyes I’ve seen…
   “Now this is Seán…”
She continued talking but I studied the guy more than I was listening; he was exactly the same as before, except his clothes and the apparent lack of wings… he had a small, although fit, frame, a small amount of facial hair, light, fair, skin, and a small amount of muscle, but he had a baggy hoodie covering most of it; the only way you could really tell was his skinny jeans that hugged his legs tightly; he’s actually quite handso- wait… is it okay to think that? I’ll have to wonder about it later, ‘cause I should be listening…
“Now, go sit over there, Seán.” Mrs. Samantha pointed next to me. I just realized that that was the only non filled seat in the room. Welp.
He walked over a bit timidly and sat next to me. “H-hey, I’m Jack.”
“Oh? I thought you were Seán?”
He winced a little “Heh, I just prefer my nickname…”
   “That's fine, um…”
   “What's yer first class?”
I looked at my schedule, on my lanyard. “English, I stay in this classroom until the end of 1st period.”
“Oh, same!” He warmly smiled, the first time I’ve seen him smiling...
“Cool.” Under all of this, I was still thinking about why I saw him in my hallucination… “Um… Have you been to the hospital lately?”
“That's a weird question, M… what's your name?” He didn't answer my question, but whatever...
   “Mark, Fishback.”
“Nea-” Just then, the bell rang.
“Okay, if you don't have me first period, go to your first class!”
I waved goodbye to my friends as they left with everyone else to go to their first period. There would be a few minutes before class started, so kids could get to the classrooms, so I turned to Jack.
“Are ya alright? Ya seemed like ye saw a ghost when I was being introduced…” I was a bit shocked he noticed, but I can't be honest; he’d think I'm crazy…
   “I’m okay… you?”
   “Alright…”
   “What's your second class?”
“Spanish.” I looked at my lanyard.
“Same…” I took off my schedule and placed it on the desk; since these desks were conjoined, I put it between Jack and I. Jack did the same. My Monday schedule was: English, Spanish, Science, Social Studies, 1st lunch, Trigonometry, Study Hall, Phys Ed, Open Period. I looked to Jack’s; it… was the exact same thing.
   “Now that's just weird.”
   “Yer tellin’ me!”
I looked at Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday, and Friday. They were all the exact. Same. Thing. I looked at the names, thinking it might just have been an accidental copy of mine, but no; Jack’s formal name, Seán William McLoughlin, was there. “Neat last name. You're Irish?”
   “Ya couldn't tell?”
“Well… I didn't want to be rude and suppose things…”
“Oh well.” The second bell rang, and all the students scrambled to a seat.
When everyone was seated, Mrs. Samantha started the class.
   “Does everyone have their homework?”
I got my homework from inside my backpack and everyone else did too, excluding Jack, because it's his first day here. The class went by rather quickly and I went to Spanish.
   Then Science.
Then Social Studies. The day kinda takes a toll on you after a while. But it was finally lunch! Not to mention Jack was fun to be around, and we were together all the time because of our schedules… We sat down at a table with our food, and I started a conversation of sorts...
   “Hey Jack?”
   “What?”
“Why did you come to this school a fourth of the way through the year?”
   “Um… I was… told to?”
Jack seemed like he was hiding something. No, always assume the best in people! Maybe it’s personal… yea. It's some personal stuff, like maybe he was bullied…
   “Mark?”
“Wha- oh jeez, sorry! I was just thinking, heh…”
“Okay then, weirdo.” Jack laughed a bit.
I chuckled along. Man, Jack has a nice laugh… Contagious. We talked quite happily for the rest of lunch, then went to Trig.
   “Hey, Wade’s in this class!”
   “Who's Wade?
“One of my other friends, he’s funny.”
   Wade entered. “Hey guys!”
   “Hi Wade!”
   “...hi…”
“You guys have seemed to be together all day, in love or something?”
Everyone that could hear that joke laughed; luckily it was only Wade, Jack, the teacher, Phil, and I. We all have a good sense of humor.
“No, it's just that we have the exact same schedule, look.” I took Jack’s and my lanyard off to show Wade.
   “How did that even happen?”
   “Dunno.”
   “...same here.”
The bell rang for class to start. The teacher taught us math, obviously.
Study hall was fun, I talked to Jack and introduced him to Felix.
In Phys Ed Jack sat out with a doctor’s note that says he can't do gym for the whole year…
So, we're walking to homeroom for open period now. Jack, Bob and I were walking together.
   “So, how was your day?”
“Good, honors classes aren't really that hard.”
“For ye!” Jack seems to have opened up more to other people now. I'm happy for the guy...
We walk into the room and we all sit at the same table. We joke and have a generally good time before the bell rings and I run to the bus. I did some homework on the bus, to try to distract myself from the feeling of being watched… I actually finished most of it. The bus stopped and I jumped out. I came home, greeted my parents, finished my homework, ate dinner, and went to sleep. But I could never shake the feeling I was being watched. I uncomfortably fell asleep and dreamt of that hallucination…
Sorry it took so long, but it's a long chapter! Hope you guys like it!!
